[The following is a defence speech by a student of the Risale-i Nur. More than 800 court cases concerning the work took place during the lifetime of the author and the first ten years after his demise. All of the trials proved that the Risale-i Nur is directed not toward worldly affairs, but rather toward the spritual life of the people. (Ed.)]
The prosecutor has made a mountain out of a molehill and presented me in the role of a diplomat and intriguer on account of my service to my Master, whom I indeed accept with all pride, and to the Risale-i Nur. He has thus assigned me a major share in the alleged offence connected whith the Risale-i Nur. In answer I say:
